DMV is requiring an acquisition number for a salvage vehicle I purchased. What is this?

I have the buyer receipt, title certificate and all other paperwork but they are not letting me completely register my vehicle without the acquisition number. What is this ? There is a resale certificate number on the buyer receipt. Could that be it? I'm not sure if they say the receipt. Thanks!
